It’s easy to find out when you have a concrete issue when the problem is in the exterior part of our home. You can see the cracks in the concrete driveway or the trip hazard in that uneven slab on your sidewalk. However, when that situation happens inside your home, the floor covering your concrete might mislead you sometimes.

If you suspect that there is a problem with your foundation, the simplest way to find out if your floor is uneven is to use the marble method, so get a couple of them, and we’ll tell you how to put it into practice.

First, drop a few marbles on the surface in different areas. Then, wait and watch them roll. Last but not least, check if they roll to the same side. If that’s the case, it means that maybe your interior concrete has settled.

Easy right? But before jumping to conclusions (and into action), you need to find out the causes behind why your floor is not level. Before you panic, look for other symptoms such as having gaps between the baseboard and flooring and if you find out you also have them, maybe you might need to do a concrete or foundation repair in your home.

If your interior concrete has settled, it is because of the soil and the best option is to hire a professional team that will offer a permanent solution to protect the value of your home and give you the peace of mind that you need.

So go and get the marbles and check for more symptoms but remember that you can always get a free estimate and consultation with us if you have more questions.
